To join South Lakes U3A complete this form on your computer then print it out, sign it and send it together with appropriate payment to the address shown on the form. Please also read the Gift Aid form at the bottom of the page, and if appropriate complete this and include it with your application.

Our preferred method of payment is by standing order (you can open a standing order mandate form to send with your application); alternatively by cheque payable to South Lakes U3A.

We are a self help organisation. After a settling in period if you would be willing to run or help with an interest group, serve on the committee or help with refreshments please contact the Vice Chair Jackie Hinton (see the newsletter for contact details).

For the purpose of administration and to meet insurance requirements South Lakes U3A maintains records of members' names, addresses, telephone numbers, and attendances at various meetings. These records may be stored on a computer and/or in paper form. Members' names and addresses are also passed to our umbrella organisation, The Third Age Trust, for the distribution of “U3A News”.

If you are a UK tax payer then using Gift Aid allows us to claim an extra 28p for each pound of your subscription. To qualify for Gift Aid you must pay income or capital gains tax in the tax year that is at least equal to the amount that we we will claim back.
