If you are interested in joining us but not sure, you can attend two monthly or group meetings before you decide. You can just turn up to a monthly meeting, but please get in touch with us (see the Contact us page) before going along to a group meeting, to check that there is a vacancy.
Members may attend any of the monthly meetings, seminars and social events, and may join any number of activity groups, subject to availability of places.
When you join you will be sent a copy of our newsletter which includes a full diary of events and contact details for all group coordinators. The newsletter is issued three times a year to each member household, and U3A News, the magazine of the Third Age Trust is similarly issued four times a year.
Other benefits of membership are a facility for buying various items of computer software at educational prices, access to a free 24-hour legal advice service, and discounts at various shops in the South Lakes area.
There is an annual subscription of £9 with some reduction for special cases as shown on the Membership Form. A small fee, usually £1, is also charged for each group meeting attended.
You can use one of the following methods:
If you have a printer connected to your computer, download and print the Membership Form
It would help to reduce our administrative costs if you pay your subscription by Standing Order. If you decide to do this, download and print the Standing Order Form
