This new Group will be led by Jennifer Richards, an internationally qualified Yoga and Pilates teacher, whose focus is very much on ‘practice’ rather than performance.
The sessions involve a variety of exercises and movements designed to improve functional strength and stability.
Anyone is welcome to attend regardless of fitness.
Pilates is generally practiced in bare feet. Please bring a mat, and a small blanket or towel. The latter are helpful as at times it's good to have some cushioning for knees etc.
We meet at Skelsmergh Village Hall. This can be found just off the A6 Shap Road, on the right-hand side. signed to Mealbank. This turn-off is exactly one mile past the Land Rover garage heading north out of Kendal. There is parking for a few vehicles but please lift-share where possible, as there is not enough space for 15 cars.
The cost of each session will be £1. Please can you try to bring the exact change if possible.
