We have recently been treated to a fascinating, private SLU3A Beekeeping Demonstration at Gleaston Mill, Furness. We also experienced The Dawn Chorus with rangers at Leighton Moss Nature reserve (sightings of osprey, hen harrier and others) followed by a terrific breakfast.

In August we had an exclusive tour of the Bat Sanctuary and Hospital at Silverdale, where we learnt about, and were able to stroke, bats. Also that month we enjoyed a Steam Train Excusion on the Settle-Carlisle Railway, described as England's most scenic railway.
