What we do

Thalia (Muse of Comedy) offers this food for thought: ‘Humour is by far the most significant activity of the human brain.’

(Edward De Bono)

We are a friendly, informal group and newcomers are always welcome. We interpret Humour in the broadest possible way as you can see from previous meetings which have included topics on Pantomime, Clowns, Comic Postcards, and Parodies. If you would like to ‘give us a try’ do come along. We have a list of topics but are always open to new suggestions!

October 2011

Thalia is in sober mood today. She says: ‘Humour is also a way of saying something serious.’ (T. S. Eliot)

It’s hard to believe that the Humour Group has now been going for over a year! We interpret ‘Humour’ in the broadest possible way, and our discussion topics have included such diverse subjects as Pantomimes, Comic Postcards, Epitaphs, and Parodies. Come along and give us a try. You will be made most welcome.
