Reports
June 2008
At the time of writing we are expecting to transfer our fortnightly meetings to the Young Women’s Christian Association headquarters off Stricklandgate.
The game is always enjoyed by participants, and any other U3A members who would like to extend their card playing repertoire to include Cribbage are invited to contact Alan Hill or simply turn up at any of our future meetings which are all listed in the Newsletter Diary.

March 2008
Whether the result of a change of venue or a good response from the September promotional meeting, the membership and numbers attending the Cribbage Group have increased since our move to the Shakespeare Centre. We are now averaging 7 at each meeting and have a positive membership of 12 compared to an average attendance of 3, and membership of 6, up to 2007.
The current members greatly enjoy the fortnightly sessions and would welcome new recruits to this competitive yet convivial card game.

November 2007
As a result of the coordinator's meeting and the coffee morning on 9 September, the group has recruited four more regular players with another couple of ‘possibles’ in the offing.
At the same time we have changed the venue to the Highgate Room in the Shakespeare Centre. Founder members greatly appreciated the welcome by Celia and Chris at Wainwright's Café but sadly their spiral staircase was becoming too much of a challenge for members unaccustomed to mountaineering.
It should be noted that although we still meet every second Monday (2 to 4pm) the dates up to the Christmas break are 26 November and 10 December. Future dates are listed in the newsletter calendar.
