What we do

Our first season of walks of wilder country proved very popular.
We plan to continue our assaults on the gentler fells this summer. Our aim is to conquer minor peaks (not more than 1000' ascent) in easy stages.
We are fortunate to have volunteers to lead walks throughout the 2007 season and we are looking forward to them all.

Made it to the top!

The Gowbarrow walk, on May 25th, was very fine and much enjoyed by 21 walkers. Again, the weather was good so we enjoyed fine views after the steep climb and all the way back along the Ullswater Terrace Walk.

by easdale tarn

In September 13, of us enjoyed a walk up Easedale, past great waterfalls fed by the previous night's rain, to Easedale Tarn. The full streams made it quite difficult to cross the tarn head as we circled around the tarn, but we managed it, and came back to Grasmere down Far Easedale.
